What is a bin store?
A bin store is a discount store that buys truckloads of customer returns, overstock and shelf-pulls — most of it originating from Amazon and big-box retailers — and sells everything out of open bins at one flat price per item. The price is highest on restock day and falls every day until the bins are cleared and refilled. Goodwill runs the same idea for donations: its outlet stores sell by the pound from rolling bins.

Across the 261 stores in our directory with a numeric ladder, the most common schedule tops out at $10 on restock day and bottoms out at $1: 57.5% of stores are priciest on Friday and 45.2% are cheapest on Wednesday. 218 stores (83.5%) run a $1 day.
